Our Parliament is keener to find a scape goat for the media than to remove accidental criminals from politics.
The House has seriously underestimated the public mood on MPs' expenses, there should be Zero tolerance on fraud accidental or otherwise, for politicians as there is for other members of the public.
His resignation will not change the publics opinion of the inherent problem.
I petition that Michael John Martin should not resign as Speaker of the House of Commons at this time.
He should continue to expose the problem and ensure the situation is transparent and not political. Even if this means discrediting himself.
