Conservative-run Thurrock Council’s plans to axe its funding of up to 16 of Thurrock’s Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and replace them with wardens to hand out parking tickets.
PCSOs are an integral part of our Neighbourhood Policing Teams and reducing them, even by one, will have an impact.
PCSOs are a reassuring, uniformed presence on our streets and have made a tremendous impact on anti-social behaviour and youth nuisance.
We, the undersigned, oppose the Conservative-run Thurrock Council’s plans to axe its funding of up to 16 of Thurrock’s Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and replace them with wardens to hand out parking tickets.
