Victims and their respective families suffer enough emotional distress before, during and after trials without having to sign the victim notification scheme application to become a part of a scheme to be privileged to the knowledge that the offender is being released from prison.
Then if the offender is on parole after being released from prison, the victims or respective families have to write a written letter to the parole board, asking them to add to the offenders bail conditions if they want something added to them before they are released.
This should be automatic, mandatory, with out the need to apply.
Please sign this petition because after all the stress the victims and their families go through, the victim notification scheme expect you to be able to apply to be put onto the scheme.
If the victims are automatically put on to it, then it takes off a lot of stress and pressure from the victims.
And it also stops the victim and their families from walking into their attacker in the street, when the victim notification scheme fails them. This does happen.
