I fully understand that this is just some site, but /alot/ of people use this site for many things such as; talking to friends who moved away, meeting people, develop skills(The the role playing helps your writing, and I know this sounds lame, but you how nice you type can benefit you) meeting people around the world- letting go of the real world stress for just a few moments, just being able to relate to people in a fun way.
Recently neopets was bought over, and everything changed-some for the better. The layout became more official, which I admit is nice, 'fixed' a few things, made a neomall where you give them money so you can put pixels on pixels. What came along with all of this? A new set of rules. You have to wait thirty seconds before you can post again, and they have become much more strict on what you may and may not say.
We may not have partys in the roleplays? We may not say anything that /seems/ like a swear?
They are only thinking about the kids who lied about their age, and not the rest of the site who told the truth and are now forced to go by the same rules eight year old kids have. If they require you to be thirteen to go on the boards-let it be PG-13!
We, the undersigned, call on The neopets Team to eliminate the following:
"So that everyone has a good time, you understand and agree that you will not post or send through the site any words, images or links containing or relating to:
* profanity, obscenities ("swear words"), sexual content (express or implied, including inappropriate acts with or by your pets for "real" or in role play)
*romance role playing"
We feel that if we accepted the terms and conditions you gave us, and said we were the appropriate age to go on the neoboards, then we should let the boards be rated correctly, PG-13.
