this outlines the unfair treatment of a zimbabwean asylum seekers application and the subsequent misrepresantation of his human rights by the procedure of the case.

mr goremushandu, a nephew of the mdc president entered the uk on 30 october 2002 and applied for asylum upon arrival.he was substantively interviewed on 3 december 2002. on 19 december 2002 his application was refused but due to an administrative error the home office failed to notify him until 27 september 2004 (2yrs later), he logged an appeal on 7 october 2004, this was allowed on asylum and human rights on 13 january 2006, after a initial failed appeal by the home office against goremushandus decision , on 14 february 2006 the uk border agency applied for a high court review , this application remains outstanding today.

mr goremushandu evidence included a valid party membership card, medical records, a letter signed by an mdc member of parliament . he also has scars on his legs that bare evidence of his torture ordeal.

with this evidence and the global tragedy exposed on the brutal handling of opposition in zimbabwe it is surprissing that mr goremushandus case hase been unresolved for over 5 years denying him a normal functional life as he has been living as a destitute under support with weekly reporting conditions.

this is a human being with very excellent academic credentials in university of cambridge based exams (6A'S and 4 B'S at GCSE level), he speaks very fluent english and poses the qualities of a promising leader and individual.

it is unfair to subject any human being to the state that he is and worse with the credibility of his application almost crystal clear. imagine 6 years of watching time and aging with no particular progress in life, how horrific.

we, the undersigned, call on the home office to take a just and humanly approach in mr goremushandus case and grant him leave to remain, rather than continue to indefinately and inhumanly prolong his right to life by denying him a decision.

The Review Mr Goremushandus' case petition to home office was written by goremushandu matupire and is in the category Justice at GoPetition.
