(Fans Urge) Warner Home Video To Create Milestone in Television Animation DVD Releases

We, the undersigned, would like to see Warner Home Video, who has acquired the popular “Peanuts” animations from Paramount, in addition to responsibilities for reintroducing these films to a new audience, create a milestone in television animation DVD releases by embracing music-only tracks that could showcase the unique, listened to yet largely unheralded, contributions by American jazz pianist and composer Vince Guaraldi.

In this spirit we hope to see that Warner Home Video set a new standard, in presenting a unique television franchise such as “Peanuts” along the same DVD multimedia capabilities given to theatrical releases, as a way of acknowledging the equality (and validity) of these 1960’s-1970’s productions. We see television as having had an opportunity in “Peanuts”, not the other way around.

As viewers and listeners who have been given this medium to hear Vince Guaraldi’s imaginative, jazz-influenced music, we hope to see this development in Warner's new releases, as well as first-hand information and biographies for the many performing musicians, artists, and production crew that created a cultural icon.
