Background (Preamble):
BEFORE YOU READ: DO NOT SPAM THIS PETITION. I DO CHECK IT DAILY and anyone caught asking for Crash Bandicoot downloads or signing the petition to spam with answers like 'This is a shit idea' will have their comments removed and will be banned from signing again. DO NOT BOTHER SIGNING if you're going to post pointless rubbish like that - this is a petition for people who would like a Crash Bandicoot film and who support this idea. If you don't go elsewhere.
Remember the excitement of playing the Crash Bandicoot games? Well wouldn't it be the most awesome thing in the world if a Crash Bandicoot MOVIE could be made? And not some dumb 1hr thing or a film with rubbish out of character characters - a real, awesome Crash Bandicoot movie, with the humour and awesome backgrounds like from Twinsanity, and the fun and excitment like the original Crash games!
The film could start at Cortex's childhood and go all the way through his life, right up until a certain Crash Bandicoot was made. It could tell of how he'd suffered both physically and emotionally whenever his parents had been around, how he had suffered terribly from their deaths (it hurt more because he'd still secretly loved them even though they'd constantly hurt him), and how he had enrolled himself in a school for evil so as to forget his past.
If done well and the right speed and music used, it could be a beautiful film, especially in parts where he needs time alone to get something off his chest, or when something happens to make him relive the nightmares of his childhood because he's been left with psychological damage. Although I'm typing the summary out quickly and it may not seem that interesting, the film could be a very deep and beautiful one, filled with sadness and humour and meaning to every little thing you see in the Crash games.
Cortex has been described before as a very introverted person. I think this is mainly because he's been hurt so many times before, bullied and betrayed that he's built a brick wall around himself and has somehow dulled his emotions right down, incase he's ever hurt again. You see, evil people and people who seem introverted and cold usually have something to hide, some dark past or a rough childhood or something.
In several games, even though Cortex is trying to be evil, you can still hear how gentle his voice is and you can see that in several games he's willing to team up with Crash and help him, and that there's no bitterness between them or anything, even if only for the period of time that the game lasts. Really, I think that all Neo wants is some really, really good friend or some adult who can love him and who can take the pain away for him and rid him of the awful memories of the childhood that he's been through.
I think that he wants this just so badly that he's prepared to do anything for it, even some really major thing like taking over the world just so that he can be happy. I don't think that it's the power thing that he's after at all - I think that it's because he believes that if he takes over the world, everybody will look up to him and will respect him, and they won't know about his bad past. They won't think that he's a bad person, and they'll worship him no matter what.
As for the minions, I think that they seem more like family to him. On Pinstripe's profile online it says that he was created to protect Neo ^_^ I think that all he wanted from Pinstripe was someone who would protect him from the pain of the outside world, whether physically or emotionally. Somewhere else I read that Dingodile was supposed to be very, very close to Cortex (an official source), and that he was actually an early experiment who didn't appear until later because he took longer to build (since he was the first minion with two parts of an animal.)
Since Koala Kong and Ripper Roo are obviously rejects lol, I can't say much about them, and Tiny is only useful for strength since he can't speak much, but I also got the impression from several pieces of fanart, fanfiction and the video games (since that's how a lot of people tend to see N.Gin) that he was also a close friend of Cortex's at school, and this builds up a sort of image that really he has two very special friends who are very close to him and know his background.
When you play the game, all you think about is one evil guy who wants a bit of power, who creates a few minions so as to try and take over the world and one day makes a mistake and creates his very own enemy - Crash Bandicoot. But really, I think that Cortex is just a very lonely guy with a lot of issues and who has been hurt one too many times. A guy who craves the attention and love of either an adult or someone very special who can make all his problems go away, and this brings back the taking over the world situation. He is just SO desperate to be loved, that he's determined to keep on trying to take over the world.
Uka Uka I think is evil really. You can tell that right from the start, and when you spend time looking at him deeply. He's pure evil and doesn't care what others think, do or desperately need. I think Aku Aku would be a very forgiving person, and given the right explanation would be able to see that it had all been one huge misunderstanding, but Uka Uka definately doesn't care. He'd all about power and dark magic, and I think he's the reason why Cortex is always at square one.
If the original voice cast was used for the film, say Clancy Brown for Neo Cortex, whoever did N.Brio's voice in Cortex Strikes Back, whoever does N.Gin's voice now, and the OLD N.Tropy's voice, then the film would work. I mean right now Tropy sounds a bit gay, and Dingodile's voice - AHH XD William Hootkins rocks at his voice. HE MUST be in the movie!!
Anyway. What I'm asking you to sign is a petition for a Crash Bandicoot movie that tells you the important parts of the story from start to finish, about a lonely, introverted child who grew into a lonely, introverted adult thanks to his parents spitefulness, and who desperately wants a true friend who can make him feel special... ^_____^
If you're a Crash Bandicoot fan, then I must ask you to consider very deeply signing this petition. I will be just so grateful if you will as will a lot of other fans, although at the end of the day the choice is yours, as is this oppotunity of a lifetime. 3D characters like in Warped and the original Crash B games would probably be best for this movie but actors could be cool too - just as long as the film isn't a ripoff XD.
