«Η κατάργηση του Υπουργείου Μακεδονίας - Θράκης, συνιστά κατάργηση του εθνικού ρόλου που επιτελούσε μέχρι σήμερα στην πονεμένη γη της Μακεδονίας και της Θράκης. Έναν ρόλο διαχρονικής έμπρακτης απάντησης της Ελληνικής Κυβέρνησης και του ελληνικού λαού, σε κάθε επίδοξο σφετεριστή της ιστορίας!», αναφέρει σε δήλωση του ο απερχόμενος υπουργός Μακεδονίας-Θράκης Σταύρος Καλαφάτης.

Είμαστε αντίθετοι στην διαγραφή , μετονομασία , κατάργηση του υπουργείου Μακεδονίας Θράκης και ζητούμε από την κυβέρνηση αλλά και από την αντιπολίτευση να επανέλθει το υπουργείο όπως ήταν .
