In the interests of Public Safety and Basic Human Rights, We, the undersigned, object to the continued alleged abuse which many patients and clients are subjected to whilst under the care of Christopher Hansard and by those who are presently not self regulating, do not adhere to a strict code of ethics and unanswerable for the abuse they cause. *This is not a petition out to prevent those legitimate practitioners who already adhere to high ethical standards and professionalism, but is specific to those such as Christopher Hansard who do not and have proved to cause harm

We call on the Sappire Unit in his area of practice to launch a thorough investigation of Christopher Hansard's practice.

We call for the Advertising and Trading Committee in Westminster to investigate Christopher Hansard's claims and many advertisments in the way of Media Coverage and Books which brought many clients to his practice under false pretenses.

We call for Environmental Health to investigate Christopher Hansard's Hygiene practices and use of acupuncture needles and related equipment.

We call for Reforms in the Law to address the issue of a blatant lack of accountability by those in the Complementary and Alternative Medicine fields who deal with the public in an abusive manner, specifically Christopher Hansard who gives such practices a very bad name.

Currently it would seem that Christopher Hansard and others like him are answerable to no one. He is not part of any regulated body, he has taken no oaths, nor has he signed any code of ethics, he has set himself up in such a way that he does not have peers who would responsibly oversee that he was practicing in a professional, ethical, and moral manner.

Those who have bore witness to such abuses or were abused themselves are encouraged to join together now, to combine your statements and signatures so that we may bring this finally to an end in a supportive, responsible manner and truly healing environment.

Regulatory bodies such as the GMC, Royal College of Psychiatry, British Association of Counselling and UKCP as well as authorities that were designed to protect the public such as the MET Police, the Advertising & Trading Agencies and Environmental Health Teams, the UK Governments and equally the Canadian & American Governments are doing little in the way of protecting vulnerable individuals, and those who may be submitting themselves to the 'care' of Christopher Hansard having already suffered abuse or trauma or undiagnosed mental & emotional illness's themselves and so the abuse continues. Christopher Hansard seems to fall through the cracks and has learned to utilise every loop-hole in the law, and therefore continues his abuses and fraud unabated.

Patients and those seeking emotional spiritual, physical, and mental health assistance do so because they have placed their trust within these people, yet time and time again this trust is betrayed and the patient or client is left to pick up the pieces. Alone.

We call upon these societies and organistations listed below to implement or lobby local governments to ensure more rigid and consistent practices to protect the vulnerable as what invariably happens is that the practitioner is often exculpated from any form of responsibility such as Christopher Hansard.
